Shea Garrett Craig is an artist tactically engaging place, particularly in the seemingly sterile environment of the suburbs. It is his honest belief that the suburbs of contemporary America pose an opportunity for the kinds of psychogeographic research and radical activity conducted by the Situationist International. Web based art provides an unprecedented possibility for massive, yet distributed participation in continued investigations of the suburban landscape; what better way to interrogate what Guy Debord describes as a "thinly spread semi-urban tissue" than through an equally thinly-spread network?
His artworks range in medium from written research projects, photographs, experimental drawings, and web-based art to collaborative performance work and anonymous, anti-monumental sculptures.
